Operating in the C-band, the MY-70D radio altimeter employs a frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) operating system and incorporates closed-loop tracking measurement technology, equipping it with the capability to resist same-frequency asynchronous interference. The air data processor is designed to detect the total static pressure or distributed pressure of the airflow approaching an aircraft, thereby enabling the measurement of key flight parameters including Mach number, barometric altitude, vertical velocity, and indicated airspeed. The barometric pressure signals, which are collected from outside the aircraft and serve as the input for the air data processor, undergo processing via a solving circuit. Based on specific algorithms—tailored to factors such as the number of pressure channels, the carrier’s shape, and the distribution of pressure-measuring points—the processor outputs atmospheric parameters (e.g., static pressure, total pressure, barometric altitude, indicated airspeed, and flight Mach number) and transmits these parameters to the flight control unit in digital form.
