T18 active phased array radar

The T18 is a lightweight and portable short-range defense frequency-modulated continuous wave active phased array radar. It employs DBF digital beamforming and simultaneous multi-beam technology; capable of detecting target movement speeds of 1-180 m/s; elevation angle range of -5 to 60°; angular accuracy of 0.4° and range accuracy of 5 m; data refresh rates of 1s/2s/3s; can simultaneously and stably track over 300 targets; scanning coverage includes an area with altitude ≥2000 m and radius ≥15 km; with a portable turntable, the entire system has a power consumption ≤350 W, and the radar’s total weight is <30 kg; for micro DJI mini-series drones, it supports a detection range of ≥5 km; with a transmission power of only ≤30 W, it offers extremely high operator safety and urban environment compatibility; on the battlefield, due to its minimal transmission power, it has an extremely low probability of interception, significantly enhancing battlefield survivability.

1)High detection probability, low false alarm probability

By employing an adaptive clutter suppression algorithm that automatically matches and tracks environmental feature changes, it can effectively filter out false alarms from environmental clutter such as trees, crops, rain clouds, and ocean waves. At the same time, it can detect weak echo targets under complex clutter conditions, providing users with high detection sensitivity and accurate sensing applications. Additionally, it enables single-radar integrated air-sea and air-ground detection, capable of monitoring tiny airborne targets while adapting to Sea State 3 conditions and alerting for surface/ground targets.

2)Small blind spot, wide elevation angle, high data rate, and excellent tracking performance.

The radar’s distance blind zone is ≤50m; the elevation coverage angle reaches -5° to 60°; the radar supports a maximum spatial scanning rate of up to 1Hz while utilizing advanced tracking algorithms to achieve real-time tracking of various highly maneuverable targets, providing users with accurate and intuitive target information.

3)High detection accuracy

The radar’s azimuth and elevation measurement accuracy is ≤0.4°, which is far smaller than the minimum field of view of the electro-optical system, enabling precise guidance for the electro-optical system to acquire targets at long distances, greatly enhancing the application value of the electro-optical coordination system. At longer ranges, the radar’s distance measurement accuracy is ≤5m; subsequent weapon systems can directly use the radar’s ranging data for targeting and guidance.

4)The T18 radar system is very lightweight, highly automated, portable, and easy to operate.

The radar is lightweight (≤30kg) and equipped with an RTK differential positioning and orientation system, enabling rapid deployment and automatic calibration. The entire system can be carried and set up by a single person, ensuring user convenience. Additionally, the intuitive and user-friendly interface, along with simple configuration, effectively reduces the learning and operational costs for users.

5)The T18 radar system is ultra-low power, completely noiseless, and highly stealthy.

The T18 has an extremely low power consumption of ≤350W; it can be powered by portable power sources or standard vehicle power supplies; the system adopts natural cooling, operating completely noiselessly. Due to its exceptionally low radiation power, the T18 is difficult for anti-radiation weapons to detect and lock onto, making it a low probability of intercept radar.
