T20 high precision three coordinate active phased array radar

The T20 is a lightweight, portable short-range continuous-wave radar featuring DBF digital beamforming and simultaneous multi-beam technology. It detects target speeds from 1 to 180m/s, with a pitch angle range of-5 to 60 degrees. The radar delivers angular accuracy of 0.3 degrees and distance resolution of 5 meters, with data refresh rates of 1/2/3 seconds. Capable of tracking over 500 targets simultaneously, it operates within a scanning range of 3000 meters altitude and 20 kilometers radius. Powered by a portable swivel mechanism, the system consumes less than 450W while weighing under 30kg. Even when paired with the compact DJI Mini series drones, it maintains detection ranges exceeding 6.5 kilometers. With a maximum transmission power of 40W, it ensures exceptional operator safety and urban environmental adaptability. Its ultra-low transmission power significantly reduces interception risks, enhancing battlefield survivability. Among low-power anti-unmanned/loitering radar systems, the T20 stands unmatched in technical performance.

1.Various types of anti-drone airspace support scenarios;
In the anti-drone scenario, the T20 is responsible for a wide range of airspace search and target tracking tasks. After detecting a target, the T20 radar guides the telephoto electro-optical system or guides the verification/disposal UAV to identify, confirm, and lock onto the target. It then hands it over to the strike/disposal system for disposal.
In this application scenario, the high data refresh rate of T20 radar (2s/1s), high target capacity (500 batches), and high accuracy (azimuth accuracy 0.3, pitch accuracy 0.3, distance accuracy 5 meters) all play a crucial role.

2.Integrated border air defense scenario:
The development of UAV has posed a severe challenge to China’s border security, and put forward the requirements of integrated air-ground supervision for border posts. Active phased array three-coordinate radar + photoelectric integrated equipment + UAV countermeasure system has become the necessary border security equipment.
In this application scenario, many competing radar systems struggle to balance air-to-air detection capabilities with ground detection optimization. However, when focusing on ground detection and clutter processing, they often lose track of aerial targets, failing to achieve both air and ground coverage simultaneously. The T20 radar team employs a proprietary pattern recognition algorithm that optimizes signal processing for both airborne and ground applications. This system automatically selects optimal patterns and parameters for each target, delivering exceptional performance in both air and ground detection capabilities.

3.Airport anti-animal/anti-bird scenario
China has emphasized ecological protection and bird protection for many years. While the ecology of large birds has gradually recovered and prospered, flocks of birds have also posed a threat to the safety of aircraft takeoff and landing at airports.
As an active phased array radar, T20 has the characteristics of long range, clean clutter filtering, strong detection capability of small targets, strong individual resolution of clustered targets, large target capacity and high tracking accuracy.
The T20 radar has also developed a unique 1s/ circle high speed target tracking operation mode, which is particularly suitable for small high speed target detection needs.

4.Special operations, investigation scene
The T20 product’s lightweight design, low power consumption, and self-calibration capabilities make it particularly suitable for armed reconnaissance scenarios requiring portable power sources. With a total system power consumption of no more than 450W, the T20 can be powered by a 1.5 kWh civilian portable power supply to support radar operation for over three hours. Its effective monitoring range reaches an astonishing 3,000 meters altitude and 20 kilometers distance, making it the top-performing small mobile radar system in terms of technical specifications.

T20 high precision three coordinate active phased array radar Product Advantages

1. Ultra-high data rate and strong tracking capability. The radar supports standard azimuth scanning speed of 180/s, and can be selected for high-speed operation mode of 360/s to easily deal with small high-speed targets.

2. Low false alarm probability. By using the adaptive clutter suppression algorithm, it can automatically match and track the changes of environmental characteristics, and effectively filter the false alarm caused by environmental clutter such as trees, crops, clouds and rain, and waves. It has far better detection performance than similar products under bad weather and complex terrain conditions.

3. Integrated open space. It can simultaneously complete the security of detection airspace and the observation and alert functions of the ground battlefield, complete the battlefield situation awareness in one stop, and maintain the search and tracking of UAVs, personnel and vehicles.

4. Small size and light weight. The radar host is less than 30Kg. Two people can carry the whole set of equipment to the high point, complete the erection and carry out the detection work.

5. Ultra-low power consumption and low interception rate. The power consumption of the T20 radar is only 350W, which can be supported by portable outdoor mobile power supply for a long time. The low radiation power of the radar has a very low radar signal interception probability, which greatly enhances the stealth of the radar.

6. Wide detection range and high accuracy. The radar can search and track the DJI Phantom 4 UAV for more than 8km, covering the sector below 3000 meters with a pitch of 60 degrees. The azimuth and pitch Angle measurement accuracy is up to 0.3, which can guide the photoelectric system to accurately track small targets.
